Nicos graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, in 2010. He received his M.Sc. in 2012 and Ph.D. in 2017 from the University of Patras, Greece. His research focuses mainly on the areas of structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, seismic design of steel structures and finite element analysis. He is working as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Greenwich, UK since 2018, especially in projects related to the design and dynamic analysis of structures under low gravity conditions. Also, he is working as an academic fellow at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Peloponnese, Greece, teaching the undergraduate modules of “design of timber structures” and “design and rehabilitation of masonry structures”. He is a charted engineer of the Technical Chamber of Greece and a member of the Society for Earthquake and Civil Engineering Dynamics (SECED).
